HL-33 BOTTOM / SEMI-PELAGIC DOOR

The HL-33 type can be categorised as a higher aspect ratio bottom trawl door or as a lower aspect ratio semi-pelagic trawl door. As this is higher than traditional bottom trawl doors makes the HL-33 more efficient in terms of lift (spreading power) and at the same time very stabile when towing and turning. As the aspect ratio is lower than normal semi-pelagic trawl doors, makes it a very good fit to many vessels.
